Youth Contest 2021 – Accepting Entries via Mail or Email

Dear Lions,

As you all know that we are holding the youth contest via zoom on Saturday,  February 20.  I will confirm the time after the contest deadline of February 7.  Most probably it will be in the afternoon after the cabinet meeting.

This year has been confusing in every aspect and I feel we are going through the same for this contest.

The application guideline is for the MD-2 contest and we follow the same format to ease the confusion.  But due to the ongoing situation, we want this to be simplified, at least at our district level, and will accept the entries via email.

If you have already mailed your submissions  – please accept my big thank you:) If you have not, you now have the option of emailing the documents to me directly – shresthabini2000@yahoo.com

I will need ONLY the following documents emailed to me by Sunday, February 7, 2021.

** DRUG AWARENESS –

1 Contestant Application
2 DRUG AWARENESS SPEECH

** DIABETES AWARENESS –

1 Contestant Application
2 DIABETES AWARENESS ESSAY that includes the bibliography

** OUTSTANDING YOUTH –

1 Contestant Application
2 ESSAY
3 Biographical information statement, community service,
leadership experience/participation experience
4 Three letters of recommendation
5 Certified high school transcript

I hope this emailing option will simplify the district youth contest competition to some extent for the participating clubs.

We are happy that we are one of the districts deciding to host the competition amidst the pandemic. And a big thank you for the clubs sponsoring the students.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me/call me

(817-805-1318).

Sincerely,

Lion Binita
