***Urgent*** Water Needed for Communities in Brazosport Water Supply

At 10 PM Friday the Brazosport Water Authority was informed of potential Naegleria Fowleri in the water supply.  Areas impacted have been advised to not use their tap water.  This impacts their ability to cook, clean, drink, and bathe. https://abc13.com/brain-eating-amoeba-bad-water-supply-warning-tceq/6574686/

The District Governor has already approved disaster relief funds to purchase cases of water and efforts are underway for water to be purchased and sent to PDG Ronnie Martin’s gift shop Grapevine Gifts located at 125 TX-332, Lake Jackson, TX 77566.  We currently have 400 cases of water being purchased and additional in works. PDG Ronnie is working with the City to coordinate distribution efforts.

The District needs from its clubs/members funds to offset the cost of water being purchased and donations of cases of water.  Please consider making a donation.  Much of the funds for the Hurricane Laura Recovery came from the areas impacted by this water contamination and we would like to return the kindness.
