Thoughts from the District Governor

First off, all clubs and zones please let me know if you are meeting in person and if so when and where, or if you have a Zoom meeting please invite me.  But let me know what you are doing.  Please email me.

I attended the Zone 8 zoom meeting and thought I would share a couple of great things I heard.

One club is donating cases of Gatorade to the volunteer Fire Department.  What a great service idea! Really thinking outside the box. Please share your ideas like this. Another idea, would be to donate Gatorade to responder’s, especially during the pandemic.

I believe in sharing ideas , both fundraisers and service ideas. The Sugarland Lions Club does several things, like virtual bingo, collecting raffle items and every Friday they pick a name and give one of the prizes out. Of course all this is done over the Internet so there’s no contact. Another thing they do is a virtual run. Again, we need to think outside the box to continue to service and fundraise.
