Sargent Lions Christmas in the Park

The first annual “Christmas in the Park” was about giving the community an experience, with the help of local churches and businesses, that embodied the season itself. Thanks to the community and everyone involved it was a huge success with over 400 people coming out last Saturday to share in this vision, and there was a LOT to share and take in. This 100% free event was held at the Captain Mike Leebron Memorial Park, opened by the Sargent Area Lions Club in July this year. There were 22 sponsored craft/food/drink booths (thank you to ALL Sponsors). There was live Christmas music (thank you Salt Grass Salvation). Santa (thank you Donald Fox and Sargent VFD) was in attendance. A special thank you to Lion Mary Robertson for organizing and leading this wonderful event. The park and playground are decorated with lights, cutouts and blowups (thank you to all the Lions and others who generously donated their time, decorations and money) and will remain so until January 1st.
