Santa Fe Lions host New Member Orientation

Forty-eight Lions (some new, some “old”) gathered to learn what Lions are all about. Lion David Shinn (GMT) was the team leader and spoke on Tailtwister duties, and guest speakers and their topics were PDG Billy Gray (basics of Lionism), VDG Madeline Birdsong (what it means to be a Lion,) Lion Nancy Gray (Lions Eye Bank of Texas), Lion Paul Bland (Youth programs), Lion Susan Wallis (Texas Lions Camp) and Lion Jackie Arnold (service).

A light lunch was served by the Santa Fe Lions Club, who also held a “guess how many candies are in the jar” contest and a 50/50 drawing, with Lion Paul Bland winning $23o!  This would be a great annual project to get (& keep) Lions fired up for service!
