Pearland Lions ROARS with 2022 Graduating Youth Scholarships

The Pearland Lions Club approved allocations of $49k in scholarships for 2021-22 Lions year. This consisted of 10 students each at Dawson and Pearland High Schools and 8 scholarships at the PISD Turner Career & Technology High School. “We are excited that our club, through our community, can do such great things for our youth” said Pearland Lion President, Nick Carbone. “Our scholarship Foundation team, chaired by Lion Dr. Mike Allen, spent lots of time and energy selecting these young recipients and our hopes are they use this opportunity to further their education and maybe someday give back to their own communities as well”, he added.

Over the last few years, the Pearland Lions have given in excess of $350,000 in scholarships to area youth not to mention several mini-grants to projects of the district that support kids and families.

On August 27th at 6pm, the Pearland Lions will have their annual 51-gun raffle and proceeds help this and many other Lion causes locally, statewide and nationally. For more info, www.pearlandlions.org.
