The youth contest 2022 is just around the corner. I just wanted to send you a reminder that we would like to make sure that we are spreading the information and encouraging the junior and senior high school student at your home, neighborhood, and contacts. Please try to sponsor one student this year for the competition. This is a good opportunity for any student to participate. Thank you for letting us have a good turnout in the past.
The winners from the district in each category will receive first, second, and third prizes of $1000, $500, and $300 respectively in college scholarship. The first prize winners form each contest will also get to represent our District in Texas Lions MD-2 State Convention in Abilene, Texas, May 26-28, 2022.
We will hold the youth contest during the Third Cabinet Meeting on Saturday, January 15th, in Hallettsville, Texas.
Please note this is early than normal because of scheduling.
The deadline to turn in the necessary forms and papers is Monday, January 10, 2022.
You can mail your original forms or scan a copy of your forms to the Youth Programs Coordinator. If you should have any questions or concerns, please give him a call.
