Here’s a letter from LEBT President:

June 4, 2020

Dear Fellow Lions:   The Board of Trustees of the Lions Eye Bank of Texas met in their quarterly meeting and made the difficult decision to postpone the Annual Dinner from this July until the fall.  As a result, we will not be gathering to finalize our fundraiser with the drawing for prizes planned for that date.  We will be pushing the date for our drawing back to August 15, 2020 instead of the originally planned date of July 20 at the Annual Dinner.     Since the pandemic has crippled us all in our personal and professional lives, our ticket sales are dramatically behind our goal at this point.  The one silver lining we see is that this action will give our Lions an additional four weeks to generate support for our fundraiser, and to promote the good works of the Lions Eye Bank of Texas.     The drawing will be held live via the internet so that all interested Lions may log-in and witness big results.  The Board appreciates the efforts of Lions across our service in generating interest in the work of our eye bank, and in promoting support for our needed fundraiser.   Thank you again, for your continued support.   Sincerely,
