Lions International Essay Contest is created to give an opportunity for visually impaired young people, ages 11, 12 or 13 to express their feelings of peace and what peace means to them, ultimately shared with others around the world. The contest theme for 2019-20 is “Journey of Peace”. MD2 Texas Lions urges all Lions Clubs to work with local schools and area families to identify visually impaired young people interested in participating and who could benefit from this program. Essays must be no longer than 500 words, in English, typed in black and double-spaced and should be accompanied with the completed Essay Contest Entry Form.
