IPDG Musings – Convention Voting information
Well, District Convention is just around the corner. I really had this typed up quite a while back but I have been ill and did not get it sent out. I wanted to warn clubs to have both your District and International dues paid by 15 days before the convention. So sorry, if you did not, you will not be able to vote. Convention will be April 29-May 1 in Victoria. I will still be confined to my house so will not be able to make it. Each club will have at least 1 delegate and 1 alternate to vote if your dues are paid. Each club will have 1 delegate & 1 alternate for every 10 members or major portion thereof.
1-14 members 1 delegate – 1 alternate
15-24 members 2 delegate – 2 alternates
25-34 members 3 delegates – 3 alternates
You must register your delegates and alternates to be counted to be able to vote. They must have been enrolled in your club at least 1 year and a day as of March 1. Delegates must be in good standing with their club. PDG’s also get one vote of their own which is not considered as a vote by the club and does not affect the number of delegates for the club.
After my convention many Lions said they would of liked to know ahead of the convention everything on the ballots, so District Governor Vivian was nice enough to send me the list:
Host City for 2023 Convention
Director of Texas Lions Camp West
Elected Eye Bank East 2022-2023
1st Vice District Governor
2nd Vice District Governor
