Goliad Lions Donate Water Bottles to Goliad Elementary School

YOUR GOLIAD LIONS IN ACTION (yet again): Members of the Goliad Lions Club made a presentation of plastic water bottles to Goliad Elementary School. Accepting the bottles on behalf of GEMS was Principal Patricia Huber.
The Lions spent $665.50 on the donation, with about half of the monies coming from what the Lions would normally be spending on their noon meals if they had been meeting in person.
Lion Elaine Noland spearheaded the effort by meeting with Principal Huber about going green and having each GEMS student assigned their own water bottle, instead of buying cases of bottled water every week. Each classroom also has a 5-gallon bottle of water with a spigot, so this donation of bottles will save money and save on the environment.
Thanks to Lion Elaine Noland, Principal Huber and GISD
