Goliad Lions Club “Night With The Stars” Honors Its’ Members.
On Tuesday July 20, the Goliad Lions Club honored their members with a star studded “Night With The Stars” at the Community Center on S. Market St. The Lions and their guests enjoyed a delicious chicken pasta meal prepared by President Mindy Sullivan and fellow Lions. After viewing a program presented by Lion Bill Schaefer on how we persevered this past year with the pandemic and all, the audience was treated to an awards program emceed by PDG Malakai Gore, and ably assisted by Lion Emma Soto-Guerra, as several of the Goliad Lions were presented awards for their service and dedication to Lionism.
All of the Lions were presented gold stars for their service to the community. Pins were also awarded to the following Lions:

The highlight of the evening was a special presentation made by Lion Harv Suggs, who presented Lion President Mindy Sullivan with the “Melvin Jones Fellowship Award.” This award is the is the backbone of our foundation. Presented to those who donate US$1,000 to LCIF or to people for whom a donation was made by others, it’s a tremendous contribution to humanity and to the legacy of our founder, Melvin Jones.
The Goliad Lions Club has been an active organization since June 17, 1948, serving our community and needs. The Goliad Lions meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at noon at the Blue Quail Deli in Goliad. Come by and see why Lions International is the largest service organization in the world.
