Peace Poster Deadline
The Peace Poster Contest is approaching fast so I hope you have already ordered your kits in advance and maybe even have had your Peace Poster contest at the Club level. I know that the dates on the contest deadline state that you can order kits up to October 1, 2015, but this leaves little time to have your Club contest.
The deadline to send in your posters per the International site is November 15, 2015, but this leave District 2-S4 very little time to get all the posters in the mail and judged before we have to get the winning poster sent to MD2.
With all this said District 2-S4 would like to have all the posters mailed to the address below on or before October 15, 2015 or hand delivered at the 2nd Cabinet meeting on October 23-24, 2015 so that we can have all the Clubs winning posters on display at the Fabulous Fall (2nd Cabinet Meeting) Event that will be in League City.
We will talk about the Peace Poster Contest at the 2nd Cabinet Meeting. Deadlines, tips, judging and how to create a great event to get not only your club exposure, but also the kids posters. If you have some great ideas and things you have done in the past with your Peace Poster Contest please email me so that all great ideas can be shared with the District so that we can make the Peace Poster Contest even bigger each year.
We have started to assemble a panel of judges that will judge the posters without knowing which Lions Club the poster came from. We will then send that winning poster to MD2 for the next level of judging. Good luck to all the kids and I cannot wait to see all the posters.
