League City Evening Lions gives scholarships to TLC counselors in Kerrville

On Friday June 23, 2017 the members of the League City Evening Lions Charities will travel to Kerrville, Texas and attend the Awards Night at the Texas Lions Camp. They will award 3 scholarships, purchase a brick and present a donation to the Camp. Lion Carl and Lion Debra will travel with 9 members of the Space City Cruisers and their family members to the camp. They will meet early Friday morning at Kelley’s restaurant in League City to travel together in show cars and hit the hill country as a group. When they arrive in Kerrville they will all check into the YO Hotel then travel to the camp. At 3pm they are scheduled to take a tour of the camp area. They will all attend the awards ceremony where they will present the camp with a donation of $2,500.00. The League City Evening Lions will present a counselor with a $1,000.00 scholarship. The members of the Space City Cruisers will present 2 counselors with scholarships of $1,000.00 each. A brick for $250.00 with League City Evening Lions Charities 2017 engraved on it will be purchased to be placed around the awards arena. The Space City Cruisers and the League City Evening Lions Club incorporated to form the League City Evening Lions Charities. Together they work to help the youth of the camp and our community and various other activities.
