Donations Needed

On Sunday, our team of volunteers made our third trip to Sulphur, Louisiana. We will be bringing cases of Gatorade, bags of dog food for the Lake Charles PD Canine Division, carbon monoxide detectors, and lunch for the Lake Charles PD and Sulphur PD.

We will continue to take donations and make trips to assist these areas, as necessary. Their process of rebuilding will not happen overnight and will need our continued support. The needs will change as time goes on and we appreciate everything our Lions are doing to help. The Lions of District 2-S4 exemplify Lion’s credo: “We Serve!”

We are still accepting financial donations and will continue to support if the funds are available. To donate please send directly to our District Treasurer Larry Stewart.

I would like to thank the clubs who have stepped up and made donations to this effort so far: Matagorda, Needville, Palacios, Rosenberg, Sweeny, Brazosport Breakfast, Angleton, Brazosport Noon, Clute, First Capital West Colombia, Freeport Host, Friendswood, Galveston West Beach, Galveston West End, Ganado, Goliad, Hallettsville, Kemah and Lake Jackson.

I know that many other clubs have pledged support and we appreciate your support as well. It is great to see how many clubs immediately answered the call of help. What has been overwhelmingly proud is that for all the clubs you see on this list the individual members from our District have opened their hearts in donating their time, supplies, and their funds. The funds donated by individuals Lions and community members have been extraordinary.
