District 2-S4 Team travels to Sulpher & Lake Charles
A team of Lions from District 2-S4 traveled Monday, August 31st, 20202 to Sulphur and Lake Charles Louisiana. The team consisted of IPDG Roberta Brieden, PDG Debbie Devant, PDG Ronnie Martin, PDG Jeanie Cobb, 2nd Vice District Governor Vicki Dulin, District Treasurer Larry Stewart, Lion Daryl Counts, Bayside Lions President Michael Burd, Lion Karen Bishop, Lion James West, PDG Ed Stiles, Tyler Kersten, and Pastor Scott Talbert.
Most of our morning started at 7:30 as trailers were hooked up and started to be loaded. The whole team met in Baytown at ten were we were met with Crystal Clear Ice and Channel 2 News. After a brief interview, we were on the move. An early morning phone call had us making an additional stop in Sulphur, Louisiana where we dropped the ice and half of the water. Quickly we were back on the road to Lake Charles where we were met by their police department who helped us quickly offload the remaining water.
Our plan is to go again on Sunday where we will bring to Sulphur and Lake Charles cases of Gatorade and additional Ice.
We would love to have your help! We could use additional drivers and volunteers. To volunteer please reach out to Lion Melaine Sweeney at firstname.lastname@example.org or PDG Ronnie Martin at email@example.com for more information.
We are also still accepting donations. Donations are made out to District 2-S4 and mailed directly to our Treasurer, Lion Larry Stewart.
Yours in Lionism,
Lion Melaine Sweeney
