Changes on Kemah Lions Meetings During Covid-19

Over the past years, the Kemah Lions Club has been meeting on the first and third Tuesday of each month. The first Tuesday is being held at the Kemah Community Center (800 Harris) in Kemah across from T-Bone Tom’s at 6:30 PM. On the third Tuesday at 6:30 PM we have been gathering in the back room at the Hoagie Ranch (226 Marina Bay Drive)

Due to the Covid-19 Virus and effective immediately we will no longer meet on the Third Tuesday until what time it is safe to do so. We will continue to meet on the first Tuesday of the month at the community center where we have room to practice social distancing and follow other safety recommendations.

While we would love to have a large participation at these meetings, PLEASE DO NOT COME IF YOU HAVE BEEN EXPOSED OR NOT FEELING WELL

Normally at this time of the year we are gearing up to assist the Stewart Elementary nurse in performing the required eye exams. Again due to the virus I feel sure we will not be able to assist as in the past but perhaps in a very limited capacity.

The Stewart Elementary backpack project for the five families we sponsor is scheduled to begin on Friday September 11,2020. This is a program where we supplies meals for these families.
