Re: Polar Bear Challenge
Dear Lion Billy:
I am writing to make sure that you received the word that Mo-Ranch has decided not to hold the Polar Bear Challenge, citing concerns over Covid. With this being the final stroke against the event, all other events preceding the PB Challenge at TLC will not be held as well.
In its place, TLC’s Chairman of the Board will personally take the plunge during the February Board Meeting, which I think is a great idea to extend the PR and response to our donors and all who gave to set the bar so high on the fund-raising efforts. With that said, we will continue our funraising efforts and the invitation to invest in the lives of boys and girls through TLC.
Conclusion
I have an exhaustive list of people to thank for the many efforts and generous fundraising success achieved as a result of everyone pulling together to make this effort a ‘roaring’ success. I will be releasing the final totals raised after January 1st, but suffice it to say, we have shattered all previous fundraising records for the Polar Bear Challenge and have set a very high-bar for future charities to aspire to reach.
My heart-felt thanks to each of you who answered the call to serve and who accepted the challenge. Our efforts will not be in vain and will support TLC’s capital fundraising efforts to rebuild the bunkhouses at TLC. Be safe and Happy New Year!
