Agenda for the Convention

Good morning to everyone.

We have a District 2S-4 Convention coming up April 29th-May 1st, 2022 in Victoria, Texas.

As you see the attached Registration Form, the early registration fee of $60.00 ends

April 1st, 2022.  After this deadline you will pay $80.00.  I ask that you please take the

time to fill out this application as soon as you can.  Zone chairs, please contact your clubs

and ask them to do the same.  A lot of planning goes into the Convention, especially the

head count for the meals.  The location of the Convention is Emerging Technology Complex

at 7403 Lone Tree Road, Victoria.  If you which to make a reservation, Homewood Suites

phone # is 361-578-1900.  You must reserve a room by March 30th, 2022 for the rate of $89.00.

 

Just a few notes from the agenda:  Friday night at the hotel   2:00-5:00 Registration  At 6:30 PM-

9:30 PM – Social  The theme is Gatsby  You can dress up or just show up and visit with our Lion friends.

AT THE TECHNOLOGY CENTER:

Saturday:  Registration 7:30 AM to 10:00AM Registration  Breakfast in the Glass Room

                    8:00-9:00 AM – Honorary Committee meets Room 102

                    8:45AM – Banquet Room Opens for Meeting

                    9:15 AM – First Assembly Starts

                    

                    12:00 – Lunch

                      2:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Voting Rooms #104-105

                      2:00 PM – 3:00 PM – 501 (c) 3 Plan Presentation Room #102

                      2:00 PM – 3:00 PM   Training for Reporting Activities Room  #103

 

AT THE HOTEL:  HOSPITALITY ROOM OPENS FROM 4:00 PM TO 5:00 PM

 

BACK TO THE TECHNOLOGY CENTER:

                      5:00 PM-6:00 PM – GOVERNORS RECEPTION BY INVITATION- 2ND FLOOR

                      6:00 PM – 6:15 PM – PARADE OF GOVERNORS

                      6:30 PM – DISTRICT CONVENTIONS ASSENBLY BEGINS

 

SUNDAY:  HOMEWOOD SUITES

                   10:00 AM – MEMORIAL SERVICES

 

AFTER MUCH DISCUSSION ABOUT WHAT TO WEAR FOR THE BANQUET (THEME BOOTS & BLING)

WE HAVE INTERNATIONAL GUESTS THAT WILL BE ATTENDING,  WEAR WHITE JACKET ATTIRE, SPOUSES

MAY WEAR (MEN) WESTERN JACKET WITH DRESS PANTS  (WOMEN) WEAR DRESSY WESTERN ATTIRE OR

REGULAR DRESSY ATTIRE.  NO OLD BLUEJEANS OR SHORTS WILL BE EXCEPTED
