A Special Message to District 2-S4 from Texas Lions Camp

Stephen Mabry, President and CEO of Texas Lions Camp, would like to extend his heartfelt condolences to District 2S4 upon the loss of Lion Thelma Calapan. She was especially close to the Camp and the Mabry family. She was present at the birth of Stephen’s daughter. Throughout all of Thelma’s travels, she always brought back a souvenir or personal token to the Mabrys. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. Stephen has fond memories of working shoulder to shoulder with Thelma for many years at the Camp. The Mabry Family and Texas Lions Camp are grateful that District 2S4 has chosen to present a Memorial gift in Thelma’s name. He is also looking into the protocols of how we would go about having Thelma’s name permanently displayed at the Infirmary of the Camp where Thelma volunteered as Medical Director for so many years. If there is anything the Camp or the Mabrys can do to help us in our loss, they are willing and able to be of service.
